  1. Hiya, I brought a set of Evermotion Blender scenes to test out Cycles (Sloooooow), I thought I'd try them in EIAS. There are a couple of UV issues but I thought it looked quite nice. You'll be pleased to know my next project is 100% me :) Thanks, Nige.
  2. Hiya all, As it's a bit quite around here I'd though I'd post a scene I started to mess around with a while ago and never got around to finish. I was having trouble getting a contact shadow under the stuff on the table. Thanks, Nige.
  3. Hiya Richard, That's really nice. I think I'm going to take this project into Unity but I will experiment later in EI just to compare the results. Thanks, Nige.
  4. Hiya Kim, Diego and Nori, Thanks for the input gentlemen. Nori, that video is just what I need to generate! I will play with the six camera rig placed in a simple cube and see what results I get :) I'm assuming that in EI it's a matter of rendering a 360 for each camera? We have After Effects at the college so that shouldn't be a problem. We also have an Oculus Rift headset in our Games Design department, though I'm not sure what format it requires. I also need to add hotspots within the VR that can be accessed by the hand controller. These will bring up a simple still graphic with text. Does this require specialist software? Finally, I need to render three simple rooms and have a method of accessing/moving between each one. Thanks again for the advice, Nige. Edit: just found this in an older post: 1. Output from EI's rendering format to Environment 2. Batch Converting from EI Viewer to Vertical Cross 3. Use Adobe AE's SKYBOX Plugin. Vertical cross to 2: 1 Equirectangular So I just render out six stills to those specs? Is there a render aspect ratio that I need to maintain - 2:1 (4k 2:1 = 4096 x 2048)? Thanks
  5. Hiya EI gang, I may have the opportunity to do a VR project but I have no experience of this type of thing! It will involve modeling an environment and creating a 360 view with this ending up in a VR headset. Has anyone tried this sort of thing? Any help would be appreciated :) Nige.
  6. Great stuff Tomas, really love the making of, very insightful :) Nige.
  7. Thanks Tomas! Happy New Year to the EIAS team, here's to a great 2017 ^_^ Nige.
  8. Hiya, Here are the material files. The porcelain file needs a bitmap in the diffuse - just a small square of white saved as an img file. Thanks, Nige. Materials.zip
  9. Hi, I'm out of the UK at the moment but will do when I get back :) Ta Nige.
  10. Hiya, Just a quick render of a bathroom from an Evermotion collection. Ta Nige.
  11. Hi all, Thanks. The background image is a random one I found. I'll hunt around for a better one! Ta, Nige.
  12. Hiya, Thanks Richard. I've tweaked it a little now:
  13. Hiya all, I recently brought a CG Axis collection of ready made interiors and thought i'd make a start on them during the school holidays! This is my first attempt at one - still needs some work ^_^ Loving EIAS's blurred reflections! Ta, Nige.
