Silo forum closing and moving to CGtalk.....will probably be the final death of an amazing app that has been dying for a long time, all thanksto the developers....

Maybe a good time to make a proposition to buy Silo.....nudge, nudge, wink wink, know what I mean, know what I mean...

Yeah, me too....to bad it is lingering in the hands of developers more interested in earning some easy bucks than maintaining this great software.
I think there is a market for a small, specialised low cost modeller like Silo.... what competition do you have? Hexagon? Seems to suffer the same fate as Silo currently......and IMO the workflow is a lot more cumbersome...Blender? Again, the workflow....plus its a fully featured 3D app......Wings 3D? Dying a slow death.....Modo? I said low cost...
Now, a bit of overhauling and bugfixing, make it 64-bit, maybe some improved curve tools or better yet, take some inspiration from this:
(some modification of the retopotools to get there)
and possibly Open SubD since that seems to be the future....
would make for one heck of a modeller.....

Sad to see SILO final death. It is a great modeling app. Some little glitches, but nothing important. I still use it, but i'll move to MODO as soon as i can.
