Cameras crashing, please help.

Recommended Posts

Ola Vic!

Are you using a special QuickTime compressor to render from Camera? If yes, could you try to render using .img and see if Camera Crash?

Thanks

Tom

Hi Tom, no I always render to .img This is the first time this happens. Do you think it can be part of the model or one of the textures? Also I set GI reverse ilum. difused to 8. Could this High number cause problems?

Thanks

Vic.

Hi Vic.

Ok lets try to get what is happening.

Tomas is flat out trying to make us famous I suspect! ;-)

Can you dropbox the collected project? I can check if it renders on mine.

What is your system setup and how are you rendering? Rama or just straight to camera?

OSX. Win 7 ??.

Happy to help if I can. pretty sure we can eliminate your problem quick smart.

All good,

BTW.

Yes it is probably a material. A shader. Process of elimination will find it.

Please let's know if you have success.

Cheers

Hi Thomo, it turned out that the first time the camera crashed it cused it to skip a frame. That one frame was causing cameras to crash every time renderana asked them to render it. I replaced it manualy and the problem disapeard. I have to render that problem again. If it happens again I'll send you everything. Thank you very much for the help.

Good to hear you sorted it out.

How did you go with the shadow problem?

I see you still have GI sampling on in shadows.

Did you try unchecking it?
