Is there a demo

21 July 2010 - 02:36 PM

EIAS has always intrigued me but it wasnt until recently that I decided to look at the new version. (I have had 5 on my computer for years)
I found the new site and was impressed that right on the front page is a link to download.
I tried to download 8 about ten times but it would always quit at around 25MB so I decided to wait until 2am and see if it would work better, success.
I have installed it along with the sentinel drivers (nowhere does it say not to) and surprise surprise it wont run without a hardware key!

So obviously there is no Demo or else you don't install the Sentinel Software, which is it, please?

Also do I need to install the Camera (Renderama) Slaves on the Master machine or only on the additional computers.

How nooby can you get

Well this is sure to come as a REAL noob question to some, but since there is no answer on the forums (yes I searched) and it is not explained in the documentation (yes I searched) can someone explain to me what camera slaves are. Since they are available on the downloads page I assume I need them, or do I?
Are camera slaves the same as Renderama slaves, and if they are why arent the downloads called Renderama slaves?

Thanks

Ignore this I downloaded the 30MB package and discovered they are indeed the same as Renderama Slaves.

However it doesn't explain why they aren't called Renderama Slaves on the download page nor why it isn't clarified in the docs or on the site!

cheers
